I’ve always grown up around dogs, but, have never had one myself. Kim and I have explored the idea now and again for about 2 years. We narrowed our breed of choice down to either a Weimaraner, a Short-hair German pointer, or a Viszla. Back in April, I stopped by Quillen’s Signs in Milton Delaware to get some banners made. When I walked through the door, a wonderful Viszla named Mickey walked up to greet me! Come to find out there is a breeder in town! So I stopped back a couple more times to chit chat with the breeder. Then one weekend, Kim and I were walking around the Lewes Market and saw two more Viszlas, and about a month ago, saw another on the beach! THEN…the breeder called and told us the Mickey has been bred! So, Kim and I headed over to the farm this past Sunday to hang out with some of the dogs and get some more info. During the visit, Kim says to me, “Let’s get one!” So, come late December/early January we should have a new addition to our little family!
