Way back in March, while in San Diego, Susan sent me an emailing wanting to do some Anniversary portraits in Rehoboth Beach! Ben, her hubby, had proposed to her at the beach so it only seemed right to get some portraits there. So near the end of July, while they were vacationing, we set out to shoot around town. I’ve had dozens of portraits in Rehoboth beach, but we ending finding some new locations. Good times. ;)
My journal highlights my personal and professional adventures as a full-time wedding photojournalist! I absolutely love being a wedding photographer! My "job" is to hang out with awesome couples on the biggest day of their lives! Throughout my career I've photographed city weddings with 300 guests and small intimate Riu Ochos Rios Jamaica destination weddings with about 30 guests! My wedding photography studio is based out of Lewes Delaware, although I've traveled all over the world including Kingston Jamaica and Montego Bay Jamaica to photograph two events with Prince Charles!!!
So if you want to hang out on your wedding day, please drop me a line...even if you don't have a date set, wedding reception site picked or even if there is no fat rock on your finger! ;)
So I get a sweet voice mail from a girl named Ashley, from Pittsburgh, interested in some engagement pictures in Ocean City Maryland. She explain that she wanted her engagement photos at the beach, since she was getting married in Pittsburgh PA. We actually chose the Friday of 4th of July weekend. Crazy huh? In actuality traffic wasn’t that bad. On my way down to OCMD I did enjoy seeing all the young teens speeding around town on their “Rent Me” Mopeds, wife beater sun burns, J.LO sun glasses and chin strip beards….beepin their squeaky little horns and tryin to bunny hop. lol. All in it Ashley and BJ were such a great couple and knew how to work it for the camera!
Angie and Steve’s Rehoboth Beach wedding was AWESOME! The day started out with all eyes on the weather radar. It was over 90 degrees and muggy. Perfect ingredients for a thunderstorm. Despite the uncertainty, Ang was such a happy bride. If I had a nickel for every time Ang said, “Yeaaaahhhhhhh” I’d be retired already. When we finally got to Salero is was surprisingly breezy on the beach. The cool breeze from the ocean kept the sweaty funkiness at bay. In actuality the sunset was so amazing. Such soft light. Funny thing is a random passerbyer said, “You have some nice light right now!” I almost asked her to hold my flash…almost.
So I needed to post this one teaser from Angie and Steve’s Salero wedding in Rehoboth Beach Delaware. I was watching this scene unfold. Ang and Steve were moving around the dance floor as I saw Ang’s Dad reaching into his pocket. Wait for it….wait for it….BANG! This shot has definitely become one of my fave wedding photojournalist shots!!!
