I met Sara and Steve in downtown Washington DC for their engagement pictures before their wedding. Their wedding will take place in Lewes Delaware this June. So, we only had a couple months left, which worked out because they wanted pictures during the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC! We walked about like tourists shooting pictures of every landmark in Washington DC!!!
As if Washington DC didn’t have terrible traffic already!

Parking ticket, huh?

They dreamed of this picture……

“What I do?”

This little girl was adorable.

Steve got some major brownie points for this one!

Sara loved it!

Practice makes perfect.

What is up with my couples trying to push each other in the water all the time?

After having a blast walking about two mile around with this crazy couple in Washington DC….we stopped for some hot dogs! MMM….MMM…Good!

Crazy to think that some dude almost killed me in a car accident this time last year! This month is probably the best month of my career as a professional photographer to date! Mid-month I was hired to cover two events with Prince Charles in Jamaica. Upon my return I received notice that I was awarded 2007 Candid Photographer of the Year by Delaware Professional Photographers. Then shortly after, I received confirmation that I was accepted into the Wedding Photojournalist Association! I do have one other thing to announce, but, I’ll save that for later….so be sure to check back soon.
Good times….

While on my trip covering Prince Charles in Jamaica I stopped by the SOS Children’s Village of Jamaica. The goal of the SOS Children’s Villages is to offer orphaned and abandoned children – regardless of race, nationality or creed – a permanent home and to prepare them for an independent life. As soon as I got there the kids ran up to me saying, “Sir Sir Sir….take my picture! Let me see…let me see, Sir. Show me, Sir!!!!” After every single picture they wanted to see themselves on the back of the camera screens. A couple of them knew how to scroll through the other images. Pretty crazy.

This was the first kid I saw upon my arrival.
He was having a blast dragging a bucket with a string!

The kid in the green was driving a remote control car down the hill and didn’t even know I was walking up the street.

I waited…..waited…….then he drove the RC car into my foot!
He looked up and I shot this picture!

“Sir Sir….take our picture, Sir!”

This is one of my top 3 favorite pictures in my LIFE!!!
It’s pictures like this that remind me why I love being a photographer!

Well it was a nice treat to head down to Jamaica recently. I wasn’t supposed to visit Jamaica again until Brenda and Jason’s Riu Ocho Rios hotel wedding. During my adventures in Kingston Jamaica and Montego Bay Jamaica I was able to capture some amazing candid photos of Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall! His Royal Highness was so charismatic and knew how to talk to people. I wouldn’t expect anything less from the future King of England!!!
