Welcome to the Journal!

My journal highlights my personal and professional adventures as a full-time wedding photojournalist! I absolutely love being a wedding photographer! My "job" is to hang out with awesome couples on the biggest day of their lives! Throughout my career I've photographed city weddings with 300 guests and small intimate Riu Ochos Rios Jamaica destination weddings with about 30 guests! My wedding photography studio is based out of Lewes Delaware, although I've traveled all over the world including Kingston Jamaica and Montego Bay Jamaica to photograph two events with Prince Charles!!!

So if you want to hang out on your wedding day, please drop me a line...even if you don't have a date set, wedding reception site picked or even if there is no fat rock on your finger! ;)

So after almost a whole year of Photog Shootout events nationwide we came back to where is all began.  I knew I wanted to make this event an O-mazing one!!!  So for this photography workshop I made the theme “Punk Rock Bridals!”  ;)  Philadelphia is one of my favorite cities of all times.  I mean with a nickname of “Illadelphia”…you know it rocks!  So with the theme in place the planning began.  When planning these photography workshops in other cities I often have to reach out to my local photography peeps in that town.  My good friend Darah (AKA D-Nice) of Dollface Studio allowed us to use  her new studio for hair, make-up and wardrobe.  Also a HUGE thanks goes out to my boy Michael Allebach of Allebach Photography and Tattoedbrides.com!  Once I announce the theme he was quick to jump onboard and help me plan this puppy.  I was happy to have him as he IS the a PUNK…….Rock photographer!  lol

So everything came together.  When I woke up it was 20 degrees out!  I had to bust out the long johns and the Navy peacoat.  All in all the event was awesome.  We had some great feedback from the photographers who came out and I cant wait until the next one!  Which happens to be the NYC Photog Shootout in January!

Erin Proud, wedding planner of Proud to Plan came out to model!  What a freakin ham!!!!

Just wanted to share some pictures and a video from our recent Eastern Shore Photog Shootout! This time we had a smaller group of photogs but a huge amount of learning! We covered topics like SEO (by Mark Gardner), Social Networking (by Steve Bailey and Rob Korb) and Pricing for your Market (by Rob Nicholson aka me).

Shoot – Learn – Laugh

February 4th, 2009

Philly Photog Shootout was such a huge success and helped connect about 50 photographers with 5 models, a bridal boutique, several hair and make-up people and a limo company! There has been some great feedback so far about all the learning and relationships that were made. Since the Philly Photog Shootout, we’ve had requests for future Photog Shootouts in NYC, Vegas and beyond. So in order to help grow Photog Shootout and bring shootouts to your area please help spread the good word! We’ve had great success with posts on DWF, Facebook, Twitter and just blogging about these events! So please help “PIMP” our video out to the world! Eventually no matter where you travel you’ll know what your local photog buddies are up too and be able to connect with them!

Special thanks to Craig Single for helping coordinate some of the models!
