I can usually tell from the first email if “its gonna work out” with me and the couple. In this case…I knew it to be true! Meghan, Jamie and I finally met up and hit it off immediately. Meghan admitted her addiction to me and I won over Jamie’s heart by showing him the custom metal prints.
Had a blast taking their Rehoboth Beach engagement pictures and very much looking forward to their wedding at Winterthur this October!
“Hi Rob,
So, I must admit that long before my fiance & I were engaged… my friends and I were admiring your website, especially the Trash the Dress pictures. I started to read about you and… my fiance is actually from Milton, DE too! When I showed him the website and the trash the dress photos… he said “I know them from life-guarding!” when he saw the pictures of John and Stacy. After that, we began to browse your site relatively frequently (I think Jamie was looking for more of his friends while I just liked the pictures). My fiance’s name is Jamie Walls– he also has a sister Emily Walls, not sure if you know either of them. So, now we are engaged and looking at an October 2010 wedding. We decided that we still love your pictures and would love to try to have you shoot our wedding if possible! We don’t have an exact date yet, still looking at venues, but we are hoping for Oct 9, 16, or 23 of 2010. I just wanted to email you and get an idea of your schedule and if you are already booked for any of those dates! Oh, also, in terms of venues… we are looking everywhere from Winterthur to Baywood Greens… to Long Beach Island, NJ… to Philly… to Mt. Washington, New Hampshire… so I am also wondering if you can give me an idea of your pricing if you have to travel!
Thanks so much, I hope to hear from you soon!
Meghan”

Meghan’s failed attempt to judo throw Jamie. It actually backfired.

“My name is Angie Choma and I am newly engaged! WOOO HOOOO!!! Sitting here on my little cloud of happiness I am trying to piece together my DE beach wedding for next summer. Thanks for your time and know that I am a big fan of your craft. You have an amazing eye and true talent for capturing all of the beautiful moments in a wedding. If it doesn’t work out for you to be my photographer, you still have a fan in me!” This was the first and last sentences of the initial email I received from Angie back in the day. Its always a good when a bride-to-be like my photos.
So we finally met up for Angie and Steve’s engagement pictures in downtown Lewes Delaware. Lewes is such an awesome little town. So many places to take pictures and all with in walking distance. We had a great time strolling the streets, sharing some laughs and chatting about their wedding! I’m very much looking forward to their Salero wedding in June!

After almost 6 months of a min-vacation, finally I shot a “real job.”
April and May are prime season for engagement pictures, which is then followed by weddings. So I met up with Brooke and Frank for their Ocean City Maryland engagement photos. We had the most interesting time. We shared many laughs. There were many firsts.
So while walking on the beach Brooke says, “Why does it look like that guy is getting a blow job over there?” I looked and replied, “Because he is!” Yes…430pm…on a Sunday….a man was getting a BJ! It was crazy! Then later on Brooke and Frank were pooped on by a random sea gull flying over head! Haha! Life as a wedding photographer is never dull!

In most cases I become friends with my clients after their weddings…in this case Celeste and Adam have been my friends for some time now! We’ve spent many days on the beach for “Sunday Funday”, picked crabs and we even were invited to their house warming party! So I was excited when they asked me to take some engagement pictures at the beach.
Seriously this pictures doesn’t even look like Delaware at all! That might be the highest point in the whole state of Delaware in the background!

Celeste…stop laughing so much! Haha!
