Welcome to the Journal!

My journal highlights my personal and professional adventures as a full-time wedding photojournalist! I absolutely love being a wedding photographer! My "job" is to hang out with awesome couples on the biggest day of their lives! Throughout my career I've photographed city weddings with 300 guests and small intimate Riu Ochos Rios Jamaica destination weddings with about 30 guests! My wedding photography studio is based out of Lewes Delaware, although I've traveled all over the world including Kingston Jamaica and Montego Bay Jamaica to photograph two events with Prince Charles!!!

So if you want to hang out on your wedding day, please drop me a line...even if you don't have a date set, wedding reception site picked or even if there is no fat rock on your finger! ;)

I know I know I know.  The blog isn’t getting the love it should be.  2010 wedding season was CRAZY!  So here is a teaser of what I’ve been up to.  Don’t worry, there will be a bunch of new content coming soon!  ;)

OK as most of you know I’m more of a wedding photojournalist then anything.  Although this doesn’t mean that I can’t shoot some fashion inspired wedding pictures.  To be completely honest, I enjoy it a lot!  The problem there never is much time after the cermeony, as we are rushed to get into cocktail hour.  Then there’s Brandi.  Brandi had a very unique idea for her wedding.  She wanted to break all the traditions that are typical of an American wedding.  Funny thing is even Adam, a London native, was a little unsure of what Brandi had in mind.  Bottom line is we had almost two hours for the “First Look” before the ceremony and I LOVE having plenty of time to shoot!

Angie and Steve’s Rehoboth Beach wedding was AWESOME!  The day started out with all eyes on the weather radar.  It was over 90 degrees and muggy.  Perfect ingredients for a thunderstorm.  Despite the uncertainty, Ang was such a happy bride.  If I had a nickel for every time Ang said, “Yeaaaahhhhhhh” I’d be retired already.  When we finally got to Salero is was surprisingly breezy on the beach.  The cool breeze from the ocean kept the sweaty funkiness at bay.  In actuality the sunset was so amazing.  Such soft light.  Funny thing is a random passerbyer said, “You have some nice light right now!”  I almost asked her to hold my flash…almost.  ;)

So I needed to post this one teaser from Angie and Steve’s Salero wedding in Rehoboth Beach Delaware.  I was watching this scene unfold.  Ang and Steve were moving around the dance floor as I saw Ang’s Dad reaching into his pocket. Wait for it….wait for it….BANG!  This shot has definitely become one of my fave wedding photojournalist shots!!!
