Erin came to me by way of a couple friends, a co-worker and Bayberry Flowers! When I received the first email I was pretty sure I knew who it was. Come to find out I regularly spike on her brother during “Sunday Funday volleyball!!!” (What’s up, Matt?) Anyways…everything fell in place, and I was slated to photograph Erin and Rob’s Nassau Valley Vineyard wedding. After several attempts we finally got together for their Lewes Delaware Engagement pictures! Soon I found out that Rob was an IT guy and we quickly dove in……and out of conversation about Unix and such! I think Erin fell asleep in that 5 minute period.
Their wedding day started in Lewes Delaware and moved over to Nassau Valley Vineyards. The ceremony and reception were all at the vineyards. After the ceremony, Bayside Limo carted the wedding party and me to Cape Henlopen State Park for some pictures. Then headed back to Nassau Valley Vineyards to start the party! Boy, did they party!!!

Most of my brides are a little goofy!

Perfect weather!

Rob was a dancing machine!

Amazing food by Blue Moon!

All images will be up around July 21st!

After spending a day with Sara and Steve for their Washington DC engagement pictures, I knew we’d have fun on their wedding day! The day started at Bad Hair Day in Lewes Delaware with a ceremony at St Jude’s Church. Then we drove around a bit to Rehoboth Beach and Lewes Delaware for some more wedding photography. Sara and Steve were down for doing whatever…as long as it was fun! Then we headed back to Sara’s parents’ home for a small wedding reception and some great food by The Buttery Restaurant.

Kristen and Bill came up from Salisbury Maryland and had a wonderful Baywood Greens wedding! The ceremony and reception all were at Baywood so it was nice to be in one place the whole day. It was almost 100 degrees during the ceremony…good thing it was only about 10 minutes long. The bridal party was full of characters and Kristen and Bill were smiling the whole night…which always makes my job easier!

Love this shot…..too bad that is a Nikon camera!

Well, I finally got the camera of my dreams! Other wedding photographers believe that the new Canon EOS 1D Mark III Digital SLR is overkill. Too many useless features. No need for the 10 frames per second, 10.1 megapixel CMOS sensor and the Live View option. Those are all nice features, but, I love the self cleaning sensor, dual memory card slots and ISO range of 50-6400! So yesterday I received the new Mark3….charged my batteries and decided to got out shooting a little bit. There were some isolated thunderstorms so I had to wait out the storm. Finally, I was able to walk around Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge for a bit. The second I got out of the car….I was attacked by thousands of mosquitoes!!! It was crazy…..when I did finally get back to the car….I had like 10 of those little blood suckers follow me into the car!!!
Here is a photo of some young trees. Added a little slow shutter motion blur.

Loved the composition of the tree and the color of the sun.

This little otter was just cruising along with no worries in the world.

“What do YOU want?”

I love this pic for many reasons!
